National Food Bank Day takes place on Friday 5th September to recognise the valuable work of food banks across the country.

The Covent Garden Pantry Food Bank is a community run food bank service supporting local households experiencing hardship with essential food items. Shaftesbury Capital has a long-standing relationship with the Covent Garden Pantry Food Bank. In addition to providing financial support, each year for National Food Bank Day, we invite our employees to donate food items. Shaftesbury Capital then matches these donations with items of the same value.

The below items are required by the Covent Garden Pantry Food Bank to support local households:

  1. Tea bags
  2. Coffee (jar)
  3. Tinned tuna
  4. Heinz soup (can) – any flavour
  5. Tinned tomatoes
  6. Penne pasta
  7. Pasta sauce (jar)
  8. Coconut milk (can)
  9. Breakfast cereals (boxes)

If you would like to donate any of the items above, they would be a huge help to the Covent Garden Pantry Food Bank.

Please e-mail foodbank@cgcc.org.uk or call 0207 691 1577 to arrange a convenient time to donate your items to the Covent Garden Pantry Food Bank located at Covent Garden Community Centre, 42 Earlham Street, WC2H 9LA.
